BUA Foods Plc reported impressive financial results for H1 2025, underpinned by strong volume and margin growth. Revenue surged 36% to ₦912.5 billion, up from ₦672.4 billion in H1 2024. Flour and pasta contributed ₦430.2 billion and ₦206.7 billion respectively, while rice brought in ₦148.4 billion. Gross profit rose by 55% to ₦339.3 billion, and gross margin improved to 37.2%. Profit before tax jumped 101% to ₦276.1 billion, with profit after tax nearly doubling to ₦260.1 billion from ₦130.9 billion last year. Earnings per share climbed 99% to ₦14.45 versus ₦7.27 previously. Total assets grew 21.7% to ₦1.33 trillion, compared to ₦1.09 trillion at 2024 year-end, and equity rose 60.6% to ₦689.1 billion. Operating cash flow stood at ₦188.3 billion. Despite a 94% rise in selling and distribution costs to ₦33.6 billion, driven by higher logistics and market expansion efforts, BUA Foods maintained robust profitability with a net profit margin of 28.5%.
